Dakota Midland Trail

Length:  72 miles

Wildlife abounds as you go along the James River bottom land and south of Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge.  Lakes and cross country make this a trail you have to try. 

The cities of Aberdeen, Columbia, Westport, Frederick, Mina Lake along with the Richmond Lake Recreation Area, make this a fun trail.  Richmond Recreation Area has a warming shelter and new camping cabin available.
